Our fabrics

FLANNEL

A soft woven fabric, of various fineness. Our collection is made out of 100% cotton flannel.

This fabric may be brushed to create extra softness or remain unbrushed. A sense of security and safety.

Both of these fabrics types were rescued thinking of the cold and sunny winter days with an ocean breeze.

CORDUROY

Corduroy combines robustness and softness.

This fabric is considered a durable cloth. The width of the cord is commonly referred to as the size of the "wale" The lower the "wale" number, the thicker the width of the wale. For our collection we used both 21 wale and 16 wale.

Corduroy is made by weaving extra sets of fiber into the base fabric to form vertical ridges called wales. The wales are built so that clear lines can be seen when they are cut into pile.

For us, is clear that corduroy belongs in our portfolio.

RAYON FABRIC

In a nutshell, rayon is a fabric made from purified cellulose fibers, created from wood pulp and other plant materials. This is our favourite fabric because it’s soft, lightweight, and relatively easy to care for.

One of the great properties of rayon is that it is cool to the touch. This and its breathability make it the perfect fabric to keep you cool and comfortable during the boiling summers of south of europe.

How should I care of my shirt?

Because rayon is made from vegetable matter, it absorbs water meaning that it can shrink. Because we wash all our fabrics before sewing, it should not shrink much more when you wash it. However, we recommend to washed in cold water (~ 20’C) by hand or on gentle machine cycle with low rotation.
